Celebrating the life of

Christopher Lee Holland

May 09, 1991 - October 13, 2016

Christopher Lee Holland

Christopher Lee Holland, age 25, passed suddenly from injuries sustained from a vehicle accident on October 13th, 2016.

Christopher is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Sandy Holland; the love of his life, Saleena Ramm; their beautiful son, Ryder David Holland; brother, Justin (Lindsey) Holland; sister, Ashley (Wade) Youmans; nieces, Madison Holland, Camryn Youmans, Hannah Youmans; nephew, Jacob Holland, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rabun and Bernice Blackburn, and Thomas and Fay Holland.

Born in Savannah, Georgia on May 9, 1991, Chris was the youngest of three children. Growing up and into adult hood, he loved to partake in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. Many admired the skill he had in both activities. Out of all the things he loved to do, nothing gave him more joy than being a father to his son, Ryder. Every bit of his pride was in his little boy, who was the answer to all of his prayers. He also was a mechanical minded young man who could fix anything he put his mind to. He was a very passionate animal lover, who wanted to rescue them all, but the ones he was able to rescue were treated like his babies.  He loved his entire family fiercely, and had the biggest heart. Christopher will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Interment will follow in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

GUEST BOOK

I am so very sorry for the loss of Christopher. I have many happy Lakeside memories of us and will never forget him. Please accept my sympathy and prayers.

- James Deal, Jr., Savannah, GA

My sweet Christopher, words will never explain how much I will miss you. You were the absolute love of my life, we planned to move into your brothers old home and then get married the next year, followed by more children, my plan in life was you and now you are gone. Though we had our ups and downs, we were both crazy in love with one another. And I'd like to believe in time it will get easier, but it probably won't. Every embrace I give to our son, i will be thinking of you. I will never let him forget you, I will tell nothing but the good times and how much you adored him. I promise I will try to stay strong, and wait for my turn to be with you. Fly high my love!! ????

- Saleena , Savannah, Ga

Chris was my little brother just like Justin is and Ashley is my little sister. We grew up together. Gary and Sandy are like my other dad and mom. I am going to miss him so much but I have many memories of all of us coming together as one and we still will always be together as one. I am going to always remember my lil chris. We have his baby Ryder to make sure that he knows how special his daddy was. He loved animals so much. I always thought he was going to grow up and move somewhere to just take care of animals. He had the biggest heart. I could write forever about him and the memories I have of him but I can't. . He will always be in our hearts forever. I love you all and please know I am going to be by your side forever like you have been for us.

- Amber Harrell, Savannah , Ga

Christopher Lee Holland – Today and tomorrow we celebrate a life gone to early... He was a son, brother, father, fiancé, cousin, nephew, uncle and a friend too many. He was exceptional, laid back and easy going to a point. He had ups and downs and as we all do. Before he passed he was on the upward spiral of a good life. We had him only a short time. He loved his family, extended family and friends. There are many stories that I am sure we all could tell about him. One that comforts me is that each time I saw him when he would leave he would hug me and say, “I Love you Aunt Linda”. That’s something I will miss. The feelings we are experiencing today are many, sadness, anger, and especially Why Christopher? Only 25, no parent should have to bury their child. The circle of life doesn’t normally work that way. Yes we know that he’s in a better place. But that doesn’t help the longing we have of wanting him here. Gary and Sandy I can’t say I know your pain as I still have my children. Your grief is great and I wish we could fix that but that’s not possible. I know that your love for Christopher will never end. But you also have Justin and Ashley, Lindsey and Wade and all those beautiful grandchildren to stand by you. I pray that they will be able to ease your suffering. His most important love was Ryder, his son. I have never seen him happier than the day that child was born. Saleena the love of his life through good and bad times has lost part of her future without him. Saleena you do have Ryder who looks so much like his father. I hope you find comfort in that as you go throughout your days raising him. We ask how Ryder will know his dad. Well that will come from his mother, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will share pictures and stories. Christopher had many interests a few that stand out were hunting and fishing. He loved to hunt with his Dad, brother, family and friends. He loved to fish. One story I remember, when Rand and Christopher were young I guess about 13 or 14. They would be down at the dock or in the canal down the street from the house. Sandy and I would never know where they were except when they came home all decked out in mud. I don’t believe they every caught anything that way but they had fun. Which was all that mattered. As Christopher got older interests changed but not by much. One day I came home from work and there was Christopher, Rand, Stephen Hadden and Shelby Via all sitting in my living room. Watching television, eating me out of house and home. This was a regular occurrence. At night they would sit outside with a fire. Firebugs I used to call them. And then there are the days when Rand and Christopher would fight about stupid stuff and both would come home and tell either Sandy or me or both about it. It never lasted long and the makeup was a sight to see. One of the greatest joys though is that Justin, Christopher, and Rand would always stick together against the world. They would protect each other and their sisters from everyone and anything. And God forbid anyone talked their mothers. Today and tomorrow as we grieve remember that we all Loved Christopher for many different reasons in many ways... The sadness and anger that we feel because he is gone will lesson over time and change us in different ways. My take on it is that God had a plan. What that plan was or is will not be known to us. Christopher is in a better place where there is no pain no worries. Some place I’m sure we all want to be. But we must wait our turn. He is joined by beloved grandparents, aunts and uncles as well as countless others who are happy to see him. This will not comfort many but it does comfort me. Aunt Linda

- Linda Harmon, Pooler, GA

Christopher was one of the most beautiful loving babies the first time I met him and he forever held a loving spot in my heart. He was always a happy child without a care in the world. He did his own thing. He was a mama's boy and loved Sandy dearly. He will truly be missed by all. Love you Christopher! "The lovely bud, so young, so fair Called off by earthly doom, Just came to show how sweet a flower In paradise could bloom."

- Aunt Carla Moore, Savannah, GA
